Press release, Mauritius, 04.09.2023

In a dynamic effort to foster collaboration and innovation, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming Investor Meet-Ups that will be taking place in different cities, bringing together visionary entrepreneurs and discerning investors.

With the African angel investing landscape evolving rapidly, the Investor Meet-Up aims to bridge the gap between groundbreaking ideas and strategic funding. Entrepreneurs from diverse sectors will have the opportunity to showcase their innovative concepts, business models, and growth strategies to a curated audience of investors actively seeking transformative ventures to support.

In anticipation of the 10th anniversary of the Africa Early Stage Investor Summit, 40 Investor Meetups will be held globally with 31 Investor Meetups hosted by local investors and investor organizations in Africa, while 9 Investor Meetups will be held in global cities. The event will feature keynote presentations from industry leaders, interactive panel discussions on emerging trends in the angel networking sector, and one-on-one networking sessions that will facilitate meaningful connections. Additionally, the investors present will also gain valuable insights into cutting-edge disruptive trends, and investment opportunities that have the potential to shape the future of the continent.

Register today at www.africainvestorssummit.com  and be part of a thriving community of investors in your city. There will be special discounts for all meetup attendees for this landmark two-day summit from 30th November to 1st December in Cape Town, South Africa.

Leading international startup ecosystems, hubs like Austin, Amsterdam, and San Fransisco are set to host meetups on 7th September 2023. Additionally, Paris, Dallas, Beijing, Dubai, Zagreb, and London will hold theirs alongside the African city Meetups, which will take place in various African cities, ranging from Abidjan to Windhoek on the 5th of October 2023.

On the other hand, African cities, ranging from Abidjan to Windhoek, will also host these transformative meetups on the 5th of October 2023. Esteemed organizations like Antler, CIBAN, Dream VC, Ennovate Ventures, Ghana Innovation Hub, Jozi Angels, Lagos Angel Network, NaiBAN, Teamlink, Viridian, Wouessi, and more will be setting the pace in contributing to these engaging sessions.

“Last year, AESIS successfully hosted 30 Meetups, welcoming more than 1,300 investors. This year, 10 new cities will be taking part in the event that will lead to the main summit, which is laudable. The ultimate goal here is to drive early-stage investing in Africa and boost the available capital pool for innovation in the continent. As ABAN, we believe that collaboration is the driving force behind true innovation and these Meet-Ups serve as a catalyst for turning ideas into reality and propelling businesses toward sustainable success,” said Fadilah Tchoumba, ABAN Secretary-General.

These Investor Meetups and the long-awaited Summit are made possible with the endless support of organizations including Goodwell Investments, Investec, Next176, UNDP, JICA, Knife Capital, GIZ SAIS, GIZ MAKE IT, Madica, Untapped Global, US Consulate, Double Feathers Partners, SU LaunchLab, Proof, SA SME Fund, and South Africa National Conventions Bureau.
