Organised by ABAN and VC4A, the annual ‘for investors, by investors’ summit brings together angel investors and VCs, alongside corporate partners and government representatives from across the continent to exchange best practices, share lessons learned, and shape the roadmap for the future of early-stage investing in Africa.

Why Attend?

This year’s summit provides you with a great chance to meet and connect with various thought leaders from the Africa investment, startup, and innovation industry – while allowing you to also discover the latest trends and industry research.

What’s more, a select choice of industry thought leaders will hold in-demand workshops and masterclasses curated for aspiring and practising investors present.

The summit is both a source of new investment opportunities and a special chance to meet the 14 women founders leading the high-growth startups of the 2022 VC4A Venture Showcase Africa – Women Founder Edition. Saving the best part for last, the local investor meetups makes a return for its second year!

Before the main event, there will be local investor meet-ups in 27 cities across Africa, including the capital cities of Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, and more.

Register now for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to start networking with fellow investors representing more than 200 organisations that make up over 90% of early-stage deals in the past 2 years.

ABAN and VC4A will also have the first ever Ecosystem Side Event on the first day of the #AESIS2022 Summit, on November 2nd, 2022. The event is a special new segment for Entrepreneur Support Organisations (ESOs) in Africa. Register here.

What is the #AESIS2022 Ecosystem Side Event?

The Event seeks to bridge the gap between investors’ and ecosystem support organisations’ views around investment-readiness, roles and compensation. We aim to spotlight the value add of interventions by ESOs in early stage companies’ journeys to scale and raise investment.

With that in mind, we welcome you to join any of 3 exciting program segments powered and anchored by our ecosystem enablers:

GIZ – Strategic Partner

FMO Ventures Program and UNDP – Sustainable Finance Hub – Knowledge Partners

AWS, Bestseller Foundation, Launch Africa, Next176 powered by Old Mutual, UK – South Africa Tech Hub, and Afrilabs – Friends

A big thank you to those who took part. We anticipate that the reveal will provide future-shaping information for investment in the region.
