Congratulations to the African Angel Academy (AAA), that has just celebrated its second anniversary.
The Academy has now enrolled 361 emerging angel investors, 50% of whom are women – an incredible feat for the ecosystem! A recent survey uncovered that alumni of the programme are actively investing, and 60% of these investments are into female-founded businesses. And we’ve seen many women-led syndicates and groups emerge from the alumni group as active ABAN members.

AAA is running our final cohort for the year – starting in August 2022. This time, applications are open for angel investors from any African country.
We’d like to invite you to apply for AAA’s upcoming programme, but also encourage you to forward the details on to any new women angels in your network to help us accelerate and network more female investors in Africa.

What the programme entails
13-week, virtual learning and networking programme with a cohort of over 80 emerging investors from across the continent
12-module self-paced online course & live weekly networking sessions/ live Q&A’s/ masterclasses featuring top guest speakers
Startup showcases, to source co-investors for deals you’re considering or find deals to participate in
Access to AAA’s alumni network for further networking, deal sourcing and learning opportunities.

What it costs
The actual value of the programme is $2200 per person but thanks to a partnership with the Dutch Good Growth Fund, participation is partly or fully sponsored.
If you reside in Ghana, Rwanda or Uganda – you can apply for a fully sponsored (free) place on the programme.
If you reside in any other African country – you can apply for a partly sponsored place on the programme @ $1100.
